MP is the only diamond producing State of India.
Leading producer of coal, manganese, dolomite, limestone, copper and glass sand.
Largest producer of agricultural products – soybean, pulses and garlic and ranks 2nd in floriculture production.

  • The State has a robust rail network with 550 trains crossing daily, National Highway network of 5,000+ kms, 5 commercial airports operating 100+ flights and 6 inland container depots (ICDs).

Investment Promotion Assistance: Tax delinked investment assistance ranging from 40% to 10% of investment in plant and machinery ranging from INR 100 million to INR 15 billion respectively

  • Incentive on Employment generation: (100-2500 employees): 1 – 1.5 times
  • Benefits to Export oriented units: (25% – 100%): 1 – 1.2 times


Power Tariff rebate: @Rs. 1/- per unit for 5 years (green field projects)
Infrastructure Development Assistance: @50%, limit of INR 10 million (private /undeveloped Govt. Land).

Green Industrialization (Waste Management System): for establishing ETP/STP @50% with a maximum limit of 10 million

  • In October 2019, USISPF hosted Shri Shivraj Singh Chauhan, the Hon’ble Chief Minister of MP in Washington DC and New York.
  • In May 2020, USISPF organized a webinar with Mr. ICP Keshar, Additional Chief Secretary (Commercial Tax) and Dr. Rajesh Rajora, Principal Secretary (Industrial Policy & Investment Promotion) to discuss how the State is dealing with the COVID-19 crisis. They also discussed the various investment opportunities in the State of MP.
